celebrates 30 years in ministry
On 12th May 2019, Ps Brendan Munro celebrated 30 years as Pastor of the Gospel Centre. Pray Haringey wanted to do something to honour the occasion and say thank you to the founder of Pray Haringey. Here some messages from people that know Brendan.
Since we landed in London over 25 years ago Brendan has been a wonderful friend and massive inspiration. I love him! He has been a constant encouragement through his love for Jesus, his irrepressible enthusiasm and deep desire to follow the Lord wherever he leads. His belief in one Haringey Church and his sacrificial devotion to our unity has been a key factor in making so much possible in our community and so many congregations across the borough. His authoratative and clear Biblical teaching, uncompromising leadership and devotion to prayer have been awesome. I thank him for his great storytelling, his amazing curries and being someone who is always looking for the new things that God is leading us into rather than being content with old and tired patterns. I owe a massive debt of gratitude to Brendan and Marianne. They are an amazing team and deserve this wonderful day of celebration. To God be the glory for their faithfulness. Andie & Sue Frost
We are delighted to know Pastor Brendan. He has shared his wonderful testimony in our church and it is an inspiration and encouragement to us. We praise God for His protection over Brendan's life and know that many people have come into the kingdom of God through his faithfulness in declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ. My own little tribute to Pastor Brendan has to do with the warm welcome he gave to me when I arrived as a new pastor in the area. He gave me a big hug and made me a cup of tea. Having only been here a few months, I was humbled when he told me he'd been at the Gospel Centre as pastor for 29 years! His zeal for the Lord was infectious and I was moved to hear how he has prayed for Christian unity over the years, and seen his prayers answered. Pete Snow
Congratulations on the celebration today of your 30 years of ministry at the Gospel Centre and in Haringey. You have been a beacon of light, an encourager and a pace setter; a true Man of God. I wish you renewed strength, revived zeal, more anointing and more grace to continue to serve the Master and His people faithfully until the day of His coming.
